about CSEM Emergency Medicine

This procedural skills assessment course is designed to support physicians who will provide emergency medical care to patients within their expeditionary scopes of practice. Physicians review the foundations for 35 procedures through independent engagement of on-demand, media-rich course modules. Comprehensive assessment includes completion of 200 procedurally-based multiple choice questions that address procedural understanding, clinical reasoning, decision-making, and judgment related to the procedures in various contexts of care. All military physicians with emergency medical care as part of their expeditionary scope of practice are eligible to participate in the course every 3-years.
