STATE OF THE SCIENCE SYMPOSIUM
The Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, in partnership with the Human Engineering Research Laboratories at the University of Pittsburgh has been conducting State-of-the-Science Symposia on a near quarterly basis for almost 10 years. The symposium educates patients and providers on state-of-the-art rehabilitative knowledge and interventions with a focus on the care of injured military service members. The symposium is made up of 1-day workshops benefiting Veterans, military Service Members and their families, caregivers, clinicians, students, medical residents, community-based organizations, government agency personnel, and healthcare providers.
