The Department of Military & Emergency Medicine pursues scholarly activity in multiple domains related to education and training, clinical care, and knowledge translation from military to civilian communities and vice versa. The department also conducts military requirements-driven research in a variety of areas such as the pathophysiology of diseases affecting readiness, human performance optimization, integrated pain management and complementary medicine, and traumatic injury mechanisms and treatment.
