The Uniformed Services University Student Counseling Center (SCC) provides confidential evidence-based counseling services and behavioral health outreach programs to support all USU students. Our services aim to facilitate academic, professional, and personal development, enhancing the readiness, resiliency, and well-being of the USU community.
THE STUDENT COUNSELING CENTER IS ONLY AVAILABLE FOR STUDENTS.
IF YOU ARE A NON-STUDENT BENEFICIARY SEEKING COUNSELING SERVICES, PLEASE CONTACT THE FAMILY HEALTH CLINIC TO SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT WITH YOUR PRIMARY CARE PROVIDER.
STUDENTS NEW TO THE COUNSELING CENTER
We use a patient portal called "InSync" to maintain privacy while ensuring easy access to care.

STUDENTS ALREADY UTILIZING THE COUNSELING CENTER
Please email your counselor or send an email to usucounselingcenter@usuhs.edu. and you will be emailed an invitation to register for the InSync portal.

THE STUDENT COUNSELING CENTER STAFF
Dr. Nathan Keller is a retired Army Social Work Officer. He provides individual and couples counseling for USU students.
Dr. Debra Stone is an active-duty US Army Social Work Officer. She provides individual and couples counseling for USU students.
Dr. Sherin Venable is a civilian Psychologist. She provides individual counseling for USU students.
Dr. Jeffrey Goodie is a retired USPHS Psychologist. He provides individual and couples counseling for USU students.
All virtual appointments will be through the InSync Portal. After scheduling your appointment in the portal you will receive an email with instructions on how to start your virtual appointment.

Another option for seeking care for behavioral health concerns is through Military One Source or Military & Family Life Counseling (MFLC). MSO is a tool that allows service members and their immediate family members access to a multitude of career and behavioral counselors 24/7 online and by telephone.
