OUR WORK
Our research enterprise is robust and diverse. There are more than 40 PMB billeted faculty members participating in scientific research. The current (FY18) PMB research portfolio is funded at more than $31 million. Within the PMB Department, competitive research grants exist from the National Science Foundation, the National Institutes of Health, the Congressionally Directed Medical Research Program, the Office of Naval Research, other DoD research funding agencies, as well as many other sources. In addition to the active research conducted at USU, PMB faculty researchers are currently collaborating with multiple research universities and other research institutions within the United States and across the globe. PMB continues to lead USU in research-related products, such as the publication of high-impact peer-reviewed manuscripts, poster and podium presentations at numerous national and international scientific meetings, as well as the publication of scientific books and book chapters, just to mention a few. Likewise, all of the Graduate Students in our graduate programs are encouraged to publish their Master’s or Doctoral projects in the peer-reviewed literature. All of the research within our vast research enterprise is either directly or indirectly related to DoD’s force health protection mission.
