Coaching

Did you know USU has a Leadership Coaching program for Faculty, Staff, and Students?

Coaching is a term that is used a lot, but is not always applied correctly. More often than not a person says they are a coach, but in reality they are mentoring, advising, or teaching. Being coach-like is possible by adopting a set of skills to aid an individual to self-direct growth. The purpose of this session is to introduce the concept of coaching and being coach-like as leaders and team members.

USU Coaches have completed accredited leadership coach training approved by the International Coaching Federation (ICF) and are pursuing or have ICF Associate Certified Coach (ACC) or higher level credentials. USU has internal coaches who coach as part of their duties at USU and USU partners with external coaches who volunteer time to support the development of Military Health System and DOD personnel.

Individual Coaching

Individual coaching pairs interested coachees/clients (faculty, staff, and learners) with trained, leadership coaches. Coachees determine frequency and duration of coach encounters; with 3 - 6 encounters averaging 30 minutes in duration recommended.
