The Department of Anesthesiology at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences supports the education, training, and professional development of medical students, physicians, and allied health care providers.  Our highly skilled professional faculty ensure excellence in patient care, education, and research, and their expertise is integrated into all four years of medical student education and beyond. We incorporate effective simulation in medical student and residency curricula, and develop simulation exercises for the education and training of all DoD healthcare providers.

"The Department of Anesthesiology at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences is dedicated to educating all students in the critical anesthesiology knowledge and skills such as airway management, vascular access and fluid resuscitation, hemodynamic management and patient monitoring.  The skills that you learn on your anesthesia clerkship will enable you stabilize patients in austere environments and evacuate them to higher levels of care regardless of your specialty and subspecialty training following graduation."
