Biography

Dr. Grant Lattin Jr. graduated from the Uniformed Services University as a member of the class of 2003 and subsequently completed his general surgery internship (2003-2004) and diagnostic radiology residency (2004-2008) at David Grant Medical Center on Travis Air Force Base, CA. Following his graduation he served for one year as a general radiologist at Malcolm Grow Medical Center (2008-2009). During the early years of his career he recognized his passion for teaching as a clinician educator in radiology. Over the next 5 years he was involved in regular radiologic-pathology (rad-path) correlation which began at the Armed Forces Institute of Pathology (AFIP) in 2009 as a Visiting Scientist in gastrointestinal radiology. He continued to work at the AFIP from 2009-2011 and subsequently became involved in additional clinical-rad-path correlation conferences in the fields of genitourinary and women's imaging during the transition to the Joint Pathology Center (JPC). He served as the section chief for genitourinary imaging at the American Institute for Radiologic Pathology while teaching at the Uniformed Services University (USU) (2011-2014) while being dual hatted as the NCC Body Imaging Fellowship Associate Program Director (2011-2014) and Acting Program Director (2012-2013). During the development of the new integrated curriculum at USU, Dr. Lattin was instrumental in designing and implementing the radiology components, to include lectures, large groups, and small group learning. He currently maintains academic appointments as an Associate Professor in the Departments of Radiology (primary) and Pathology (secondary) at USU with practice and interests in genitourinary, gastrointestinal, forensic, tropical, and women's imaging. He currently leads the NCC Diagnostic Radiology Residency and Body Imaging Fellowship, as the Program Director of both programs at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center.
