Biography

Colonel (Dr.) Karyn J. Condie, MD, MPH, PhD, FAAFP currently serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Preventive Medicine and Biostatistics at the Uniformed Services University (USU).

Dr. Condie holds a Bachelor of Science in Physics, a Master of Science (MSEE) and Engineer’s Degree (D.Eng) in Electrical Engineering. She received her M.D. from USU in 1999 and her MPH from A.T. Still/Kirksville School of Medicine in 2004. She holds certifications in Public Health and Forensic Death Investigation and received a PhD in Emergency Management and Public Safety in 2013. She currently maintains a clinic practice at Malcolm Grow Ambulatory Surgical Center in both Family and Aerospace Medicine as a Chief Flight Surgeon. Dr. Condie is board certified in Family Medicine (ABFM), Disaster Medicine (ABPS), Administrative Medicine (ABPS), and Aerospace Physiology.

Prior to joining USU and the center, Dr. Condie served as the Chief of Aerospace Medicine and EMS Director, 59th Medical Wing, Lead Public Health Emergency Officer, 502 Air Base Wing, and Department of Homeland Security Science and Technology Advisor for disaster medicine. In her military capacity, she has responded to a multitude of domestic incidents.

Dr. Condie is a decorated combat veteran with multiple deployments around the world to include Iraq and Afghanistan.
