Biography

Jonathan Scott, PhD, RD, CSSD, LD is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Military and Emergency Medicine and part of the Consortium for Health and Military Performance (CHAMP). He earned a B.S. in Nutrition from Bradley University (2006), completed a Dietetic Internship and a M.S. in Clinical Nutrition from The Ohio State University (2008), and a Ph.D. in Health and Rehabilitation Sciences from The Ohio State University (2012). He has advanced training in sports nutrition and holds the distinction of being a board Certified Specialist in Sports Dietetics. He conducts research and produces educational materials on a variety of topics related to performance nutrition and dietary supplements. Prior to his position at the Uniformed Services University, he was a sports dietitian at The Ohio State University for four years. While at OSU, he provided one-on-one counseling to athletes and served as the team dietitian for 10 varsity sports teams. He has worked with the military since 2012.
