Biography

Commander Enujioke was born in Lakeland, Florida, but spent her formative years in Nigeria, returning to United States in 1991. She lives in Atlanta, Georgia, graduating from North Springs High School in 1999. She was a recipient of the Hope scholarship and attended Georgia State University, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. She subsequently spent a year working as an Americorps volunteer in Atlanta, Georgia prior to attending the Uniformed Services University of the Health Science, where
she earned her medical degree.
Upon completing medical school, she completed a residency in Pediatrics at the Naval Medical Center San Diego, CA. Over the next six years, CDR Enujioke served as a staff pediatrician in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, Naval Hospital Camp Pendleton, CA, and Branch Health Clinic Iwakuni, Japan. She had the opportunity to actively involved in both Pacific Partnership 2014 and 2015, providing medical care in Indonesia, Timor Leste, Fiji, Papua New Guinea, the Philippines, and Vietnam. During her time
at the Branch Health Clinic in Iwakuni, she was part of the transition team tasked with establishing a mother infant care center. She was selected and completed a fellowship in
Adolescent and Young Adult Medicine in 2021.

While in fellowship, CDR Enujioke earned a master’s in public health and certificates in global Health and clinical ethics. Upon completion of fellowship, she received orders to the Naval Medical Center Portsmouth. Shortly after arrival, she was deployed to assist in Operation Allies Welcome (OAW), working to provide pediatric primary and urgent care services to Afghan evacuees relocated to Marine Corps Base Quantico. Her work was published in Pediatrics, the premier pediatric journal.

CDR Enujioke current serves as the command intern coordinator overseeing the initial graduate medical education of the over 80 interns that arrive at the command each year. She serves as the Chair of the Intern advisory council and the working hours subcommittee. CDR Enujioke is board certified in Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine and is an Associate professor at the Uniformed Services University. She is co-chair of the ethics committee and planning member of the eating disorder committee of the Society of Adolescent Health and Medicine (SAHM).

Her military awards include Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal, Humanitarian service medal, and Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal among campaign medals and unit awards.
