Biography
Dr. Sarah Spriet grew up in a small town in Northern California. She earned her B.A. in Public Health Studies from Johns Hopkins University and her D.O. from ATSU - Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed her Pediatrics internship and residency training at Tripler Army Medical Center in Honolulu, HI. From there, she proceeded directly to Allergy-Immunology fellowship training at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, MD. Following her fellowship, Dr. Spriet was stationed at Dwight D. Eisenhower Army Medical Center (DDEAMC) in Augusta, GA for four years. During that tour, she was service chief, a faculty member for the Internal Medicine residency program, and completed a 9-month deployment in support of Operation Atlantic Resolve. In late 2020, Dr. Spriet returned to serve as faculty for the NCC Allergy-Immunology fellowship training program. In 2022, she separated from the Army after serving 11 years on active duty and joined the faculty at the Medical College of Georgia where she was recognized as Teaching of the Year by the Department of Pediatrics in her first year. Dr. Spriet is now a GS staff physician in the Allergy-Immunology Clinic at Alexander T. Augusta Military Medical Center and Associate Program Director for the National Capital Consortium Allergy-Immunology fellowship training program. She is very active with leadership and education initiatives for the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology. Dr. Spriet will complete her Master's in Education in 2026.Representative Bibliography
