Biography

I have been engaged in the field of occupational therapy (OT) for 17 years both as a clinician and researcher. As a clinician I worked in the private sector with traumatic brain injury, stroke and orthopaedic populations and as a Department of Defense Civilian employee with burns, outpatient orthopeadics, and upper limb amputation. I earned my Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) specialty certification in 2011. As a researcher, I have conducted research activities in burn rehabilitation, outcomes assessment, outcome development, novel rehabilitation techniques, as well as a novel upper extremity prosthetic hand and arm system. I am currently employed as a clinical researchers at the US Army Burn Center. I am also pursuing a Ph.D. in occupational therapy at Nova Southeastern University in Ft. Lauderdale, FL.
