Biography
LCDR Elliott grew up in the greater Houston area of Texas and attended Texas A&M University (BS, 2011). She was commissioned as an Ensign in the Naval Reserves as part of the Health Profession Scholarship Program and attended Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine (DO, 2015). She was commissioned as an active duty Lieutenant in 2015 and completed Internal Medicine Internship at Portsmouth Naval Hospital in 2016. She then went on to complete Neurology residency at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in 2019. In residency, she served as the vice president of the House Staff Council.She briefly worked as neurology staff at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center after completion of residency. Then subsequently reported to Naval Medicine Operational Training Command to attend the Naval Aerospace Medical Institute to become a Flight Surgeon.
In 2020, she reported as a flight surgeon to Marine Corps Air Station New River in Jacksonville, North Carolina. Upon arrival, she was the flight surgeon for VMM-263, but transitioned to two large training squadrons at New River, VMMT-204 and NATSG.
During her tour as a flight surgeon, LCDR Elliott was tasked as primary medical support for two back-to-back Weapons and Tactics Instructors courses in Yuma, Arizona. The first course she was tasked to Aux-II forward operating base with a Marine Wing Support Squadron to provide medical and flight surgeon capabilities remotely. The second course she operated as one of two flight surgeons supporting aviators and air crew attending the course.
In 2021, LCDR Elliott was tasked to provide medical support for Operation Allies Welcome at Camp Upshur in Quantico, Virginia. During this mission, she became the Officer in Charge of the Physical Exams Clinic at Camp Upshur where they medically evaluated over 5000 Afghan travelers. She was the assistant department head of the primary clinic at MCAS New River Branch Clinic, and during the second half of the flight surgeon tour, she became the department head of the primary care clinic. In this role, she managed over 30 corpsmen and civilian staff. She also provided consistent neurology support services at Naval Medical Center Camp Lejeune.
LCDR Elliott was then completed neurophysiology fellowship in 2023 at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. During fellowship, she was part of the credentialing committee and helped the initiative to maintain the career development board panel.
LCDR Elliott is board certified in Neurology and Clinical Neurophysiology and currently serves as the neurology consultant at Naval Aerospace Medical Institute. She has numerous professional publications and presentations at the local and national level. She had She holds an academic appointment as Assistant Professor of Neurology at the Uniformed Services University of the health Sciences. Her military decorations include a Joint Commendation Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal, Joint Service Achievement Medal, and two Humanitarian Service Medals.
