Biography

Retired Army Colonel (Dr.) John Edwin “Eddie” Atwood is a former Cardiology Fellowship Program Director Walter Reed National Military Medical Center and current Professor of Medicine at the F. Edward Hebert School of Medicine, Department of Medicine, at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences, Bethesda, MD.
Dr. Atwood’s interests are many and his experience vast in the realm of cardiovascular disease. He has won numerous clinical teaching awards and remains among the top mentors for all medical trainees within the Walter Reed/USU in clinic, CCU, as a longitudinal mentor, CPR module, and physical exam teacher.
