Biography

Dr. Jong Lee is an Assist. Prof. of Anesthesiology with almost 30 years of clinical experience in transplant surgery, acute pain management, trauma, anesthesia and critical care. The experience derived from the decades of clinical practice, consolidated my research interests in the management of the ABC’s of Trauma (airway, breathing and circulation) that impacts survival. The Uniformed Services University, Dept. of Anesthesiology research group, focuses on the development of new devices and drugs that are military and trauma relevant. Currently active projects as a PI and COI: Development of FDA approved of orphan drugs for acute pain control and improved battlefield cognition of wounded warfighter under opioid therapy, self-deploying polymer endo-tracheal tube and transcutaneous stimulation for post-TBI cognitive deficits.
