Biography

Christin DeStefano, MD, FACP, is a hematologist/oncologist committed to improving care and outcomes for her patients through research. Dr. DeStefano’s research focuses on hematologic neoplasms and precursor conditions, healthcare outcomes, survivorship, and immune vulnerability. Through clinical trials and collaborative translational research, her goal is to turn scientific findings into clinically meaningful improvements in treatment, long‑term health, and quality of life for real-world patients. She serves as Principal Investigator on multiple clinical and epidemiologic studies aimed at understanding cancer risk, testing novel therapies, and improving survivorship in military populations. She is committed to collaborative science and to ensuring that her patients receive evidence‑based, compassionate care that exceeds standard practice.

Dr. DeStefano is triple‑board certified and serves as Hematology/Oncology Division Director at the Uniformed Services University. She is an active member of the American Society of Hematology, American Society of Clinical Oncology, and the International Lymphoma Epidemiology Consortium (InterLymph), and serves on the editorial board of JCO Clinical Cancer Informatics. She has also contributed to national efforts in medical education through work with the American Board of Internal Medicine and American College of Physicians.
