Biography

MAJ Laura C Tilley, MD, FACEP is a Board Certified Emergency Physician and Assistant Professor in the Department of Military and Emergency Medicine at the Uniformed Services University (USU). MAJ Tilley earned her Bachelor of Science from Wake Forest University, magna cum laude, where she commissioned a Distinguished Military Graduate from the Army Reserve Officer Training program in to the U. S. Army. She received her Doctor of Medicine from the George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences, where she was valedictorian and an Alpha Omega Alpha inductee. Dr. Tilley completed her Emergency Medicine Residency at Madigan Army Medical Center and served as Chief Resident. She served in Afghanistan as a Battalion Surgeon in support of Operation Enduring Freedom and regularly practices at both community hospitals and medical centers. MAJ Tilley was recognized by the U. S. Army Surgeon General as the most outstanding physician amongst her peer group. Dr. Tilley has been commended by military and civilian institutions for her significant policy contributions to improving medical care.
