Dr. Chesney completed her undergraduate training at Duke University, received her medical degree from the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences - F. Edward Hébert School of Medicine, and completed pediatric residency training at Walter Reed Army Medical Center. She is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics in both General and Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics.Biography
Dr. Ursula Chesney is a Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrician who joined the Womack Army Medical Center team in 1993. Dr. Chesney served seven years as an active-duty military officer at Womack and then continued with the team as a civilian following honorable discharge from the Army at the rank of Major. She served as Chief of Pediatrics from 1998 – 2000, and again from 2010 – 2011. She was inducted into the Order of Military Medical Merit in 2011.Additionally, Dr. Chesney has been the Medical Director for Fort Liberty’s Medical Exceptional Family Member Program (EFMP) since 2012.
