Biography

Dr. Olsen has been part of the USUHS Biostatistics Consulting Center since its establishment in 2000. In this role she works with investigators engaged in the design of studies and experiments; statistical and graphical analysis of data; choice, application, interpretation, and reporting of statistical methods; preparation of presentations and publications; and revision of papers based on refereeā€™s comments. Prior to joining the Biostatistics Consulting Center she was a research analyst at Mathematica Policy Research and a statistical consultant at Cornell University. She has contributed to numerous research projects and more than 100 peer-reviewed publications. In addition to statistical consulting, Dr. Olsen serves as Assistant Dean for Graduate Education, and is course director for biostatistics and epidemiology in the medical school curriculum and for biostatistics in the public health curriculum.
