School of Medicine Open House
The USU School of Medicine (SOM) Open House provides an excellent chance for prospective M.D. students to tour the campus and explore what the Uniformed Services University offers to aspiring medical students!
The School of Medicine Open House offers a chance to listen to our senior leaders, Admissions Staff, and engage with current SOM medical students. Additionally, attendees will participate in a specialty lecture presented by a faculty member. The event usually runs for about four hours. Each participant may bring up to two guests. Light breakfast and lunch are included.
There is no charge, but attendees must register for available dates in advance (registration closes a month before the event). Be sure to click SUBMIT at the end of the form. After submitting, your confirmation will appear on the screen. If this screen does not appear, your registration has not been received.

Can’t Join us in Person?
Don’t worry if you can’t be on campus for one of our In-Person Open House dates. You can experience our Open House and learn about our program on your time from where you are.
By joining the Military Medical Community monthly virtual Specialty Night presentations, you can have your questions answered by current students or our admissions team, and discover more about medical specialties and military opportunities.
GRADUATE PROGRAMS Interview/Campus Visit Day
Prospective graduate students attend an campus visit during their interview. They are selected by the Admissions Committee from the applicant pool and invited to USU to meet and interview with the Program Directors, Faculty members, current graduate students, and staff, as well as tour campus. Attendance is by invitation only. Invitations are sent out electronically in late January – early February. The Interview/Campus Visit Day takes place annually on the last Monday in the month of February – with a snow day as the first Monday in March.
