Biography

Colonel (Dr.) Aaron Lewis is the Chief of Medical Staff at the 99th Medical Group, Nellis Air Force Base, Nevada. As the Chief Medical Officer of the Mike O’Callaghan Military Medical Center he oversees care for 12K active duty members and 238K Department of Defense and Veterans Administration beneficiaries, with 56 inpatient beds, eight medical education programs, 47 clinical services, and 1800 staff. Dr. Lewis is the principal medical advisor to the hospital commander/CEO. He leads 420 privileged medical providers and chairs the Executive Committee of the Medical Staff. He directs Clinical Quality Management, Medical Management, Group Practice Management, and various other military medical programs. Additionally, he heads collaborative efforts with the Veterans Administration and civilian partner medical organizations. Colonel Lewis directs the 99th Medical Group‘s efforts as the Air Force’s only ACS-certified Trauma Center, providing emergency care to both beneficiaries and the local civilian population.
