Biography
Dr. Jacobson originally enlisted in the US Army in 2003 as an Arabic linguist and SIGINT operator. After ten years working in tactical and strategic intelligence he made a career change and went to medical school. He graduated from USUHS in the Class of 2018, followed by Anesthesiology Residency at Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, TX. He remained there as an attending after graduation, and then in 2024 left for one year to complete a Trauma Anesthesiology Fellowship in Houston, TX. He is currently serving as the Trauma Anesthesia Section Chief in the Department of Anesthesia at Brooke Army Medical Center, and as the Site Director for the USUHS Trauma and Burn Anesthesiology Elective. He is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Anesthesiology at the F. Edward Hebert School of Medicine. He is married and has five children. His wife also has four dogs.
