Biography

Lt Col Angelique Collamer received her military commission through the ROTC program, Detachment #365, at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. She completed medical school at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda, MD. Dr. Collamer completed an Internal Medicine Internship and Residency at Wright Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, OH and Rheumatology Fellowship at Brooke Army Medical Center. Upon fellowship graduation, she was selected as an American College of Rheumatology (ACR) Distinguished Fellow in 2009. While at Brooke Army Medical Center, she authored two landmark papers on the topic of tumor necrosis factor (TNF) antagonist induced psoriasis and served as the Director of Research for the Rheumatology Department. Dr. Collamer was subsequently assigned to U.S. Air Force Hospital Langley in Virginia. During this tour served as Medical Director of the Internal Medicine and Medical Subspecialty Clinics as well as the Commander for 8 clinical areas and a 110 member staff. Additionally, she was the Air Force member to the VA/DoD Non-Surgical Management of Hip & Knee Osteoarthritis Clinical Practice Guideline Working Group. Dr. Collamer was next assigned as the Air Force Company Commander and Assistant Commandant at the Uniformed Services University and also served as a staff rheumatologist at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center (WRNMMC). In 2017 she was selected as the Rheumatology Clinic Service Chief at WRNMMC where she can be found happily busy in patient care, clinical research and the teaching and mentoring of medical students, residents and fellows.
