Biography

Christian Coles is an epidemiologist who serves as the Scientific Director for the Military Health System Response to COVID-19 (MiHReC19) project in the Center for Health Services Research (CHSR) at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences and the Henry M. Jackson Foundation, Inc. The project was developed to investigate the long-term impact of COVID-19 and responses to the pandemic on the MHS, and to identify challenges to & opportunities for health system improvement. His research encompasses a range of interdisciplinary studies designed to inform clinical practices and health care policies to improve healthcare delivery and health outcomes in the MHS, as well as to enhance its resilience during future public health emergencies. Dr. Coles has more than 20 years of experience conducting research focused on reducing morbidity and mortality in the United States, South Asia and sub-Saharan Africa.
