Biography

Courtney Judd, Lt Col, USAF, MC is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences. After growing up in Bethlehem, PA, she received a B.S. in Biology from the College of William and Mary, and her M.D. degree from the University of Virginia. Her residency in Pediatrics was completed at the San Antonio Uniformed Services Health Education Consortium (SAUSHEC), where she served an additional year as Chief Resident after graduation. Dr. Judd was then stationed at Hickam AFB, Hawaii for 3 years prior to completing a 2-year fellowship in General Academic Pediatrics and Master of Public Health at the University of South Florida. She returned to SAUSHEC as a clinical educator, and spent 3 years as the Associate Program Director for the Pediatric Residency Program. During that time, she was deployed to Afghanistan for 7 months in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. Dr. Judd has participated in multiple humanitarian missions throughout her military service, including trips to Honduras, the Philippines, and American Samoa. She has been an active member of the American Academy of Pediatrics, the Academic Pediatric Association, and the Association of Pediatric Program Directors. Dr. Judd joined the Pediatric Education Section at USUHS in 2016, and was recently named the Director of Pediatric Medical Education. She is continuing to pursue training in the field of Health Professions Education, and is active in clinical teaching, hospitalist medicine, and faculty development.
