Biography

After studying biology at the University of Virginia and at Penn State, Dr Foster taught biology to midwestern community college and chiropractic college students before attending medical school at the AT Still University in Kirksville Missouri. He then trained in neurology and clinical neurophysiology at George Washington University in Washington, DC which prepared him for private practice in Arlington, Virginia. After practicing general neurology for 9 years, Dr. Foster obtained additional training in preventive medicine and public health at Johns Hopkins in Baltimore before working at the FDA’s Center for Drug Evaluation and Research as a safety and efficacy reviewer for several years. He has been working full time at the Washington DC VAMC since 2022 where he leads the movement disorders and cognitive impairment clinics and where he teaches medical students and residents . Dr. Foster has been board certified in Neurology since 2007 and board certified in Behavioral Neurology & Neuropsychiatry since 2012.
