Biography

LtCol Kelly is the Cardiology Clinic Director and Element leader, 959th Medical Operations Squadron, Brooke Army Medical Center, Ft. Sam Houston, Texas. She directs expert subspecialty cardiology care for Department of Defense and Veterans Affairs beneficiaries in the largest cardiology referral center in the DoD. She also serves as a core faculty and Associate Program Director for Quality Improvement & Patient Safety for the San Antonio Uniformed Services Health Education Consortium Cardiology Fellowship.

LtCol Kelly entered the Air Force in May 2007 and earned her commission through the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda, Maryland. She completed Commissioned Officer Training in August 2007 and went on to obtain her Medical Degree. Since then, she completed a residency in Internal Medicine and Fellowship in Cardiovascular Diseases at Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas. She is board certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Disease and is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology.

Prior to assuming her current position, LtCol Kelly was the Deputy and Acting Flight Commander for the Heart, Lung and Vascular Center, 60th Surgical Operations Squadron at Travis AFB, California. She additionally served at that time as the Chief of Cardiology and Critical Care Air Transport Team Medical Director for the 60th Medical Group, Travis AFB, CA. She deployed as the sole cardiologist to Bagram Air Base in Afghanistan in support of NATOs Operation Resolute Support. Additionally, she deployed as a critical care air transport physician to the 10th Expeditionary Aeromedical Evacuation Flight, Ramstein AFB, Germany.
