Biography

LCDR Francesca Cimino is an Assistant Professor of Family Medicine at the F. Edward Hebert School of Medicine in Bethesda, Maryland. She is the new director of the Reflective Practice curriculum for the Physician in Society module.

Dr. Cimino graduated from the University of Southern California Keck School of Medicine in 2005 and did her residency training in Family Medicine at Naval Hospital Jacksonville in Florida. She was stationed in Yokosuka, Japan from 2008-2011, and deployed in 2010 to the NATO Role III Multinational Medical Unit in Kandahar, Afghanistan. She then moved to Naval Hospital Bremerton and was faculty and Assistant Program Director during her tenure there. Before arriving at USUHS in May 2017, she was a physician at the White House Medicine (WHMU) in Washington, DC, where she was Director of Clinical Services, and the lead physician for the Presidential Support Duty Program and Executive Medicine.

Dr. Cimino is a Fellow in the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP) and Diplomat of the American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM).
