Biography

Dr. Chin completed Internal Medicine Residency training at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in 2011. Afterwards, he served as flight surgeon to 277th Aviation Support Battalion, and 3-10th General Support Aviation Battalion of the 10th Combat Aviation Brigade, 10th Mountain Division in Fort Drum, NY. From May 2013 to January 2014, he deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom and served as Medical Director of C company (MEDEVAC). In RC-East, Afghanistan, he established blood transfusion capability ("Vampire Protocol") on MEDEVAC Point-of-Injury missions - training 3 MEDEVAC companies. Following this operational tour, he completed fellowship training in Endocrinology at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in 2016. He served as Chief of the Endocrinology service at William Beaumont Army Medical Center where he helped establish their Transgender Care Team and served as Endocrine Consultant to RHC-Central. He started fellowship training in Clinical Pharmacology at Walter Reed Army Institute of Research in 2019.

His interests include Clinical Pharmacology, Endocrinology, and Aviation Medicine.
