Biography

Commander Cook was commissioned in the U.S. Navy after completing his education on a NROTC Scholarship at the University of Utah. He completed medical school at the University of Michigan followed by medical internship at Naval Medical Center San Diego and neurology residency at the National Capital Consortium program (Bethesda). He completed fellowship training in Autonomic Medicine and in Clinical Neurophysiology. After a staff assignment at Naval Medical Center Portsmouth, he returned to Walter Reed to serve as the Neurophysiology Fellowship Program Director. He went on to serve as the Neurology Residency Program Director.

In summer 2025, Commander Cook will be returning to NMCP to serve as a staff neurologist and as Associate Dean for Regional Education for the Medical School.
