Biography

Dr. Jennifer Hensley is a Developmental Behavioral Pediatric Nurse Practitioner at A.T. Augusta Military Medical Center. She is the pioneer for the Autism Resource Clinic with the mission to Empower Parents with Teamwork and runs the multi-disciplinary autism as well as developmental behavior pediatrics clinic at ATAMMC. She attended Saint Louis University for her master’s degree and University of Alabama for her doctorate completing her dissertation on the emotional cycle of deployment for military families. Dr. Hensley is board certified in pediatrics as well as pediatric mental health specialty. Dr. Hensley recently completed her research on the Autism Resource Clinic. Dr. Hensley is an assistant professor of pediatrics at Uniformed Services University. She has a passion for caring for military children with special needs. She was an army wife for 27 years as well as a current army mom. She lives by the words of Mother Teresa “A life not lived for others is a life not worth living.”
