Biography

Dr. Joseph Marcus is an Associate Professor of Medicine at the Uniformed Services University and a practicing infectious disease specialist at Brooke Army Medical Center, where he serves at the Medical Director of Antimicrobial Stewardship.

Dr. Marcus has a passion for involving trainees in research. He has been the primary research mentor for over 40 trainees including medical students, internal medicine residents, infectious diseases fellows, pulmonary/critical care fellows, and gastroenterology fellows. Nationally, he has published on the importance of mentoring medical trainees in research and the impact of that mentorship on a trainee's ultimate fellowship selection.
