Biography

Colonel Katherine B. Liesemer received her commission as a Medical Corps Officer in 2005 after graduating with a Medical Degree from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. She is a graduate of the Army Medical Department (AMEDD) Officer Basic and Advanced courses, Combat Casualty Care Course, Brigade Surgeon Course, Command and General Staff College, Division Surgeon Course, and the AMEDD Executive Skills Course.

COL Liesemer currently serves as the Chief of the Department of Pediatrics at Madigan Army Medical Center, Joint Base Lewis McChord (JBLM). Previous assignments include Pediatric Intern and Resident at Madigan Army Medical Center, JBLM; Pediatric Critical Care Fellow, University of Utah, Salt Lake City; Pediatric Intensivist and Chief of Pediatric Sedation, Madigan Army Medical Center, JBLM; Brigade Surgeon, 2-2 Stryker Brigade Combat Team, JBLM; Medical Director of the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit and Deputy Chief Inpatient Pediatrics, Madigan Army Medical Center, JBLM, WA; Chief of Professional Services, 1st Medical Brigade, Qatar; Division Surgeon, 7th Infantry Division, JBLM; and Chief of Primary Care, Madigan Army Medical Center, JBLM, WA.
