Biography
Dr. Jones grew up in small town Kansas before academic and athletic pursuits brought her to the College of William and Mary where she obtained a degree in Biology with honors. She received her doctoral degree from the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University in Philadelphia after receiving a Health Professions Scholarship from the Army. Dr. Jones completed pediatric residency at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center and her pediatric nephrology fellowship at Johns Hopkins Children's Center in Baltimore where she received training in epidemiology and biostatics. Dr. Jones was then stationed at Tripler Army Medical Center as the sole pediatric nephrologist serving the INDOPACOM region. While at Tripler, she was also an assistant program director for the pediatrics residency and clerkship site director. Dr. Jones is now serving as USUHS faculty for the education division of the department of pediatrics focusing on MS3 clerkship activities.
