Biography
Dr. Madden received her B.A. in Biology from New York University in 1979, and her Ph.D. in Veterinary and Animal Sciences from the University of Massachusetts in 1987. After completing an initial postdoctoral fellowship at the Animal Parasitology Institute at the USDA in Beltsville, MD, she accepted a second postdoctoral position in the laboratory of Dr. Ildy Katona in the Department of Pediatrics, USUHS, in 1989, and became a member of the pediatric faculty in 1992. Dr. Madden's research interests are primarily in the area immunology, with special emphasis on host-parasite interactions at mucosal surfaces.Representative Bibliography
