Biography

Dr. Kyle Remick is Professor of Surgery at the Uniformed Services University School of Medicine and is attending trauma surgeon at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland. He retired as a Colonel from the US Army in 2019 after 25 years of active service. He graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point in 1994 and the Uniformed Services University School of Medicine in 1998. He completed general surgery residency at William Beaumont Army Medical Center in El Paso, TX in 2006 and Trauma/Surgical Critical Care fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania in 2013. While serving in the Army, he had five combat tours totaling over 40 months to include service as a flight surgeon for special operations, austere surgical team commander, field hospital Chief Medical Officer and Theater Trauma System Director. He continues to have a passion to care for those injured while serving their country. His professional interests include optimizing healthcare systems for acute surgical disease (trauma, emergency surgery, and surgical critical care), quality improvement, and disaster preparedness and response.
