Biography
Dr. Pittman began his military career with a commission from West Point in 2012. He received his medical degree upon graduation from the University of California San Diego School of Medicine in 2016. He completed his internal medicine residency at Madigan Army Medical Center in Tacoma, WA in 2019 and went on to complete his fellowship in allergy & immunology at the National Capital Consortium in Bethesda, MD in 2019. He is board certified in Internal Medicine as well as Allergy & Immunology. He currently serves as the Program Director of the National Capital Consortium's Allergy & Immunology Fellowship Program headquartered at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, MD. Additionally, he serves as Deputy Consultant to the U.S. Surgeon General for Army Allergy & Immunology (60M) and is an Ambassador to the American Board of Allergy and Immunology. He is the current consultant allergist and immunologist to the White House Medical Unit. Beyond his aforementioned duties, Dr. Pittman is an assistant professor in the Department of Medicine at USUHS. He serves as the Principal Investigator for multiple ongoing research protocols and is the primary author or co-author of multiple peer-reviewed articles. Nationally, he is a member of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology (AAAAI) and the American College of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology (ACAAI).Representative Bibliography
