Biography
Graduated from Villanova University in 2008 with a B.S. Biology. From 2008-2009 worked as a case manager and life skills counselor at the Oasis Center in a transitional living home for young people facing housing insecurity as a member of the Jesuit Volunteer Corps in Nashville, Tn. From 2009-2010 split time working at the Hillcrest AIDS center trust as a patient advocate and as a primary school teacher at St. Leo's primary school in Durban, South Africa as a member of the Augustinian Volunteers. 2011-2012 completed a B.S. Nursing in the accelerated second degree program at Georgetown University. Worked as a registered nurse in Austin, Texas from 2012-2016; first as an ICU nurse at South Austin Medical Center then as a Labor and Delivery nurse at North Austin Medical Center. While working as a nurse decided to take the MCAT and apply to medical school. From 2016-2020 attended Georgetown University School of Medicine, where she additionally spent time as the education coordinator for the student run Hoya Clinic and helped to start the HOYA D.O.P.E. project, a harm reduction program focused on prevention of opioid related drug overdose. 2020-2023 completed pediatrics residency at Naval Medical Center San Diego.
