Biography
Dr. Morgan Smith, DO, is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences, current Chief of Pediatric Residents and staff pediatrician at Tripler Army Medical Center, and a fellow in the University of Hawai'i Medical Education Fellowship Program in Honolulu, Hawai‘i. He earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Midwestern University Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine after completing a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science at Brigham Young University. Dr. Smith completed his pediatric residency training at Tripler Army Medical Center, where he served as Resident Research Advisor to the GMEC and Tripler Resident Council. He also served as the AAP Section on Pediatric Trainees liaison to the Section on Uniformed Services Executive Committee. As a resident, Dr. Smith received the Meritorious Service Medal and multiple Army Achievement Medals. His ongoing research and quality improvement interests include vitamin D deficiency in military-dependent populations, the application of artificial intelligence in pediatric vaccine scheduling, and false penicillin allergy de-labeling.
