Biography

After graduating from The College of New Jersey with his B.S. in Biology, Dr. Cusmano attended Rowan University School of Osteopathic Medicine for undergraduate medical education. He graduated with his DO in 2016 and completed an Internal Medicine internship at Walter Reed from 2016 to 2017. Dr. Cusmano continued his training in Internal Medicine at Naval Medical Center San Diego (Balboa), before undergoing fellowship training in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine also at Balboa. Upon completion of fellowship training, he returned to Walter Reed for his first staff tour in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine (2022). While concurrently serving as core faculty for the Pulmonary department, he has also taken on the additional role of Deputy Chief of Medicine for the Department of Medicine.
