Biography

Captain Peter Broughton received his commission in the United States Air Force upon graduating from the United States Air Force Academy in 2012 obtaining his Bachelor of Science in Chemistry. While serving on active duty, he was a Biological Material Research Scientist at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio in the Materials and Manufacturing Directorate with a research interest in decontamination and detection of chemical weapons and energetic materials. In 2020, he graduated from medical school from The Ohio State University College of Medicine. He went on to complete Pediatric Residency with the National Capital Consortium at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in 2023 and obtained his board certification with the American Board of Pediatrics. He is currently serving as a Squadron Medical Element Flight Surgeon for the 7th Fighter Training Squadron at Joint Base Langley-Eustis, Virginia.
