LTC Hiraldo was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Puerto Rico in 2005, with a minor in High School Science Education. She worked as a High School teacher 2005-2007, and commissioned through the Health Professions Scholarship Program as a second lieutenant in the United States Army in 2007. She received her Doctor in Medicine degree in 2011 from the Universidad Central del Caribe-Medical School in Bayamon, Puerto Rico, and completed a combined residency training in Child Neurology at the National Capital Consortium (NCC)-Pediatric and Child Neurology residency programs at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland in 2016. LTC Hiraldo is board certified in Neurology with special qualifications in Child Neurology. She is also an Assistant Professor of Neurology and Pediatrics at the F. Edward Hébert School of Medicine, Uniformed Service University of Health Sciences (USUHS). LTC Hiraldo's academic interests include medical student and graduate medical education, as well as readiness training and professional military education.
LTC Hiraldo's military education includes: AMEDD Officer Basic Course, AMEDD Captain’s Career Course, Army Command and General Staff College, 2022 AMEDD Iron Majors, 2022 MHS Female Physician Leadership Course and JMESI-Healthcare Management Course.
LTC Hiraldo’s previous assignments include: Brigade Surgeon for the Soldier Recovery Brigade (SRB)-National Capital Region (NCR) 2021-2023, Chief of the Department of Pediatrics at Landstuhl Regional Medical Center in Germany and solo Pediatric Neurologist for EUCOM, CENTCOM and AFRICOM 2019-2021, and Assistant Chief of the Neurodevelopmental Pediatrics Clinic at Tripler Army Medical Center and solo Pediatric Neurologist for INDOPACOM 2016-2019. She also served as Deputy Chief of the Neurology Dept and Chair of the WRNMMC Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee at WRNMMC 2023-2024. LTC Hiraldo has also been the Associate Program Director (APD) of the NCC-Child Neurology Residency Program since July 2023.
