Biography

While studying at the University of New Hampshire, I took an internship working at the department of pathology for the Naval Medical Research Center Detachment in Peru doing molecular research on malaria with Naval physicians and researchers. After receiving entry into Tufts Medical School, I elected to pursue a similar career path in military medicine through the Health Professions Scholarship Program. Once commissioned, I served two tours at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center from 2013 to 2019 training in internal medicine and cardiovascular disease. Post training I had the privilege to serve at Fort Belvoir community hospital then as imaging director at Tripler Army Medical Center. There I oversaw DHA echocardiography labs in multiple countries across the Pacific and locally developed robust advanced cardiac imaging programs. I was then stationed at the Walter Reed cardiovascular fellowship training program as an instructor where I eventually transitioned to the Army reserves at the Uniformed Services Health University. I continue to serve part time training the next generation of military physicians.
