Biography

Dr. Sarah Spriet grew up in a small town in Northern California. She completed a Bachelor of Arts in Public Health Studies with a concentration on Natural Sciences at Johns Hopkins University in 2007. She then went on to obtain her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree at Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kirksville, MO in 2011. She completed her internship and residency training in Pediatrics at Tripler Army Medical Center in Honolulu, HI in 2014. From there, she proceeded to fellowship training in Allergy & Immunology at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, MD. Upon completing her fellowship training in 2016, she proceeded to her current duty station, Dwight D. Eisenhower Army Medical Center (DDEAMC) in Augusta, GA. Dr. Spriet is a faculty member for the Internal Medicine residency program at DDEAMC. She also serves as the rotation coordinator for internal medicine, family medicine and transitional year residents who rotate through the Allergy Clinic. She also holds a clinical appointment as an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, GA where she enjoys teaching didactics to the Allergy & Immunology fellows. Dr. Spriet is an alternate member of the Institutional Review Board for the Regional Health Command - Atlantic. She anticipates being promoted to full member this Summer. Her research areas of interest include: allergen and venom immunotherapy, food allergies, drug allergy, and atopic dermatitis.
