Biography

Dedicated, conscientious physician with a stellar academic background and broad range of clinical experience in Internal Medicine, Gastroenterology, and Medical Acupuncture. Includes over 20 years military service delivering high quality patient-centered care to medical staff, support staff, inpatients, and outpatients in a variety of clinical settings. Served as Head, Division of Gastroenterology, Naval Hospital Bremerton from 2011 until retirement from active duty in 2017, where he treated current and past warfighters and their dependents as the only Navy gastroenterologist in the Pacific Northwest. Is honored to continue serving this population as staff gastroenterologist, Madigan Army Medical Center. Author, professor, and invited lecturer, his varied experience involves healthcare delivery around the world. Repeatedly cited as “Top Twenty – Best of the Best” for patient satisfaction in all of Navy Medicine. Successfully executed multiple locum tenens assignments. Member of the American College of Gastroenterology Publications Committee and Professional Issues Committee. He is a Fellow in the American College of Physicians. Finally, he is an avid athlete, having completed numerous endurance races, including multiple Ironman triathlons.
