Biography

Dr. Miller attended the University of Washington School of Medicine and was the recipient of a Navy Health Professions Scholarship. He completed his Family Medicine Residency at Naval Hospital, Camp Pendleton, CA. where he served as Chief Resident. Following tours with the 1st Marine Division and as Department Head, Administrative Support Unit Bahrain, he completed a tour as Assistant Professor Family Medicine at USUHS as well as a Faculty Development Fellowship at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill. He served as Department Chair and Residency Program Director of the Navy’s largest Family Medicine program at Naval Hospital, Jacksonville FL. He then served as Vice Chair, Department of Family Medicine USUHS before assuming the position of Director, Navy Graduate and Continuing Medical Education, a position he held for over 10 years until his retirement in 2011. He has served as President of the Uniformed Services Chapter of Family Physicians and has been selected as the Chapter’s Family Physician of the Year.
